Alfonso Dorado, Director General

Alfonso Dorado brings to Chilam Residences Holbox accomplished leadership skills and international experience in sales and marketing in the real estate and hospitality industries. 

As Marketing Director of Sol Melia Hotel and Vacation Club, he oversaw marketing operations for four resorts in Cancun, the Riviera Maya, and Cozumel (a total of 2,000 rooms).  During Hurricane Wilma (2005), Alfonso assisted Sol Melia's operations in Dominican Republic, Spain and Africa.

During his tenure as Sales Manager for Royal Resorts, Alfonso was responsible for guaranteeing that the weekly sales goals at the Royal Sands, Caribbean, Islander, and Mayan Resorts were met or surpassed. He was instrumental in the start-up operations for the Grand Cayman Islands, Curacao, and St. Maarten projects.

Mr. Dorado covered all aspects of sales, marketing, customer service, budget preparation, and interaction with referrals.  Total volume of all projects exceeded $70 million per year.

 

 

Gustavo Daniel Pereyra, Director of Operations

After finishing his studies at the University of Buenos Aires, Mr. Pereyra moved to the United States to pursue new interests.  For over 20 years, Gustavo assisted organizations with global operations and businesses involved in international transactions. 

Since 2001, Gustavo has developed and implemented economic models for many projects, from concept to completion.  He also provided General Management support and supervision to subordinates, while advising on International political, financial, technical and contractual aspects of projects in the U.S., Argentina, Mexico, Belize, Panama, and China. 

Recent projects include the land acquisition, license procurement and construction of the Las Vegas Hotel & Casino (Belize), the conversion of the La Libertad Sugar Mill (Belize) into an ethanol distillery, and funding procurement for a medical/hotel/shopping center soon to be built in Cancun, Mexico.

 

 

 

Lorenzo Aldana Echeverria, Architect

Off the vast and impressive trajectory of architect Aldana, let’s highlight the following:

Secretary General, School of Architecture, Universidad La Salle. 1969-1973.
Advisor, School of Architecture, UNAM, 1994-2001.
Chief Architect, Mexico’s Social Security, 1973-1976
Chief Architect, Islas Marias, Ministry of the Interior, 1982-1985.
Founder and President of Grupo Absa S.A., since 1979.
Director General, Aldaro Constructores SA de CV.
President, Architect Association of Mexico (Colegio de Arquitectos de Mexico) and the Mexican Architects Society (Sociedad de Arquitectos Mexicanos), 1988-1990
President, Mexican Federation of Architects (Federacion de Colegios de Arquitectos de Mexico) 1990-1992
President, Mexican Association of Engineers and Architects, 2002
Member of the Mexican Academy of Auditing, of the Mexican Society of Planning, the Mexican Academy of Architecture, the American Institute of Architecture, the Royal Canadian Insitute of Architects, etc.
Numerous awards, including the III Architectural Bienal, Bulgaria, the International Union of Architects Award, XVII Trienal of Urbanism, Milan, Europalia Festival, Brussels, responsible for the Mexican Pavillion at Expo Lisbon, Portugal, the Cemex Award 2001, the “Ruth Rivera” award 2004, and many others.

Mr. Aldana is currently working in various projects in Cancun, Cozumel and Mahahual, as well as Holbox, all in Quintana Roo, where he resides.
